What Is Pets of the Homeless?
Pets of the Homeless (POTH) is an Australian charity dedicated to supporting the pets of people experiencing homelessness.
Here's something most people don't know: many homeless Australians refuse emergency shelter because shelters won't accept their animals. They choose to sleep rough — sometimes in genuinely dangerous conditions — rather than abandon the one living being who gives them unconditional love, routine, and a reason to keep going.
POTH steps in to make sure they don't have to choose. They provide:
- Emergency veterinary care for pets belonging to people experiencing homelessness
- Pet food and supplies distributed through a national network of collection points
- Education and support to help vulnerable pet owners access the care their animals need
- Connection and dignity — recognising that the human-animal bond deserves to be protected, regardless of circumstance
It is, in the most literal sense, a charity that keeps families together.
Why This Cause and Why Now
When we launched Faverit, we wanted to build more than a product. We wanted to build a brand with a soul — one that reflects the love our customers already have for their animals.

How It Works
We're proud to be an officially registered fundraiser for Pets of the Homeless Australia, approved under their Authority to Fundraise programme.

- Sales are tracked via our internal monthly reports
- Funds are remitted quarterly directly to POTH (our first donation covers April–June 2026, sent in early July)
